  Defect details	At the time of the initial vehicle sale, the vehicle was delivered with a steering wheel that did not feature a TAKATA airbag. However, it has been confirmed that after delivery, the customer may have installed a sports or M sports steering wheel equipped with a TAKATA airbag from the replacement parts approved by BMW. The steering wheel in question is equipped with an airbag inflator that uses ammonium nitrate, and if the vehicle is exposed to high temperature and humid conditions for an extended period, the propellant in the inflator may have deteriorated.
