In this case, the magnetic field signal sent to the crankshaft sensor is cut off, so the crankshaft sensor is unable to transmit the position/speed/rotation direction information of the crankshaft to the engine control module. As a result, the engine control module does not inject fuel, which may result in fuel supply not being possible and the engine not starting or turning off while driving (engine warning light generated).
